OFH or Tomei? UEL Header with OFT

I've been looking at these 2 headers, however just wondering which one is worth it with the OFT.

Based on the Cdn dollar and the sources I've looked at the Tomei with the OFT tablet is around $250-$300 more than the OFH+OFT

I'm debating based on these factors;

Which one has better build quality?
Which one has better gains with OFT or both the same?
Which is quieter with OFT, or both the same?

I know both are good, but can't decide which will be more of a benefit for me and if that $250-300 extra is worth it for Tomei.

Id say the Tomei is a bit better its got a better collector (where the primary tubes join)
however gains will be pretty similar
oft tune was done using ofh header so it may be slightly better suited to tune than tomei. difference is going to be small.

noise levels will be same
both will be louder at exhaust due no cat and you will probably notice some different noises from engine area after fitment of any aftermarket headers

Have not heard of any issues with failures/cracking ect on either of those headers

Personally id save the bucks, as any advantage/disadvantage is going to be small.

I went with Tomei UEL with OFT.
Fitment was perfect
The quality was really good. The welds were basically perfect
ft86motorsports has free shipping right now and they are a canadian vendor so you can save some money there

If you are leaning towards Tomei then I would suggest looking into Gruppe-s. It's very similar in terms if design, fitment, quality and gains with a cheaper price tag. There is a head to head comparison with Gruppe-s vs Tomei somewhere on here with dynos and everything.

Right here!

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92104

The numbers are pretty close to Tomei.

"They are in fact, manufactured from the very same machinery used to make the TOMEI headers "

I've got the Gruppe-s header, so a recommendation from me-I was one of the first to get it on too, and have had no issues with it!

Who needs sales when you have headers like Gruppe
I never even knew about this header, and i checked out the dyno and it's basically the same gains as Tomei. I'm sold!

But doesn't the over-pipe basically not do anything in regards too gains?

Overpipe
Very little restriction here on NA car maybe 1 or 2 hp depending on other mods

I'm also planning on installing the header myself, and i hear the over-pipe is hard to install cause you have to lift the engine or something haha

You don't have to lift the engine for an overpipe install.

The overpipe is tricky to remove without taking the nut off the engine mount near the overpipe and using a jack and piece of wood to lift the engine about 50mm on that side only, this gives you enough clearance to get the twisty overpipe past the chassis and swaybar.

only takes 5 minutes that way and avouds much hassle and damage to underbody paint.

Sorry to bring this back to life but im in the market for some headers. So now that the tunes on OFT have been updated and they even have specific tunes for the OFH. is it still better to get the tomei UEL over the OFH3? is the OFH3 not as good build quality as brands like tomei and JDL?

Also I understand if I install some catless UEL headers on my car I will have a CEL unless I do a tune. Do I have to flash back to stock everytime I take my car to the dealership just for an oil change or something? Im not under warranty anymore by the way.
