Most of my NA tunes are based off a stock OEM air box with a dry panel filter - and yes, there are variables indeed, but I've done my best in narrowing the critical factors down.

While they aren't laboratory grade, nor were they done on the same car (since no one is sponsoring me to do so) - it's still fairly indicative of the results you would see given the same conditions :

  • Temp
  • Tuning / Calibration - similar ignition / cam profile maps.
  • 92 Fuel Octane
  • Post Header Setup
  • Stock OEM airbox with dry panel filter.
My 2 cents!

Thanks Bob for doing this. From the post above - the tunes were more similar than not on these cars (afr, timing, cam profiles)? i.e., it is similar to a car running a base UEL tune tested with these different headers?

For each of the setups, there's a base calibration used, then we optimize that calibration for response and peak efficiencies. So no, we didn't use a one size fit all tune for these results...
