It should add roughly a quart. I can verify the exact amount when the prototype gets here.

The upper pan holds a decent amount of oil. There are many functions of the upper pan, it acts as a girdle, windage tray and oil pan.

Hopefully not too off topic. This upper pan, does it just hold oil while the car is running but drains down to the lower pan? It doesn't behave like a torque converter and holds it? Are there any pictures of this upper pan around, cutaway shots or something of the sort?

We considered the same - glad to see you guys are on it. This will streamline turbo installs, especially for those doing it at home without a welder.

So the pre oil pan that you guys currently offer on your turbo kit holds the same amount of oil as OEM, but this new pan holds 1 quart more of oil?

Is it too early to know what (if any) effects the pan has on oil temps?

It's just a part of that bolts to the bottom of the engine, strengthening the block and spacing the oil pan farther down. As FBM said, they've integrated some other functionality into it but it's not holding oil up from the lower pan.

Crawford posted a pic before.

Ah ok, I did see that pic before but didn't realize there was more there than just some bracing and the oil pickup. Thanks!

Yes, it is an oem pan with a return pipe welded onto it.

Yes it is, but we expect it to lower the temp slightly. It won't be anything significant but some.

With these engines every little bit helps, I know after a good run my oil cooler lines will burn you in a hurry.
