Dashboard display stuck at kmh

Has anyone had an issue where the dash wont display MPH?

Stock 2017 BRZ (no messing with the computer etc.. ) , and the other day I just noticed the digital display changed and was showing KMH instead of MPH. I dont think I ever touched this setting, and when I go look at it, the setting says it should be showing MPH but it isn't. I also hit the "re-initialize" setting but it didnt change anything. I can change language display back and forth, just not the MPH\KMH.

I thought I'd ask here before I call the dealer.

thanks!

Does the 2017 still have the mph/kph button above the odometer and display buttons? If so press that and see if it changes back. If that doesn't work, maybe try disconcerting the battery.

Welcome, OP. Interesting. I've been keeping up with events for years here and this is the first that I've read of this. Let us know what you find.

Mine does. It is next to the trip buttons on the left.

Mine does. It gets stuck on KPH every time I push it.

On my 2018 manual Limited BRZ it can change while driving, just a press is enough (i.e. no need for long press). Goes back and forth between MPH/KMH without any problem.

i once got used to a gm-style push-on-the end of the stalk windshield washer button, that i became convinced that my relatively new mitsubishi's windshield washer function was non-operational. i convinced my brother to help me diagnose it.

we had the entire washer fluid reservoir torn apart, and every related fuse checked, re-checked, and replaced by the time we both came to the realization that it was was the idiot behind the wheel the whole time!

I pulled the same trick on my daughter that my uncle played on me. Back in the day his Camaro had a MPH/KPH button, he switched it to KPH on one of our favorite stretches of road and was like “Look how fast we are going!” It blew my mind. I thought I was in KITT from Knight Rider.
