OFT logs and VirtualDyno
Has anyone tried converting the OFT logs to something VirtualDyno can read from? I tried opening one directly and it doesn't work, but I don't have any other logs that do work to compare the formatting to.
If anyone has a log that will work in VirtualDyno I would love a copy of the raw file to compare it to an OFT log and see what needs to changed to make it work. *edit* - here's the working information for easier sourcing! Open the log file in notepad, textpad, etc and remove the top three lines (above the column headers), then rename the following column headers: "Time(s)" to "Time" "Engine Speed" to "RPM" "Throttle" to "Throttle Position" "AFR" to "Lambda (Bank1) (AFR)" Virtual Dyno will open it thinking it's a "Cobb Access Port" log, but it seems to work fine and give believable numbers.

Awesome, thanks! EcuTek is officially supported by VirtualDyno, but OpenFlash isn't yet. Just taking a quick look, it might be REALLY easy to make an OFT log work though. The only glaring difference is that there are a couple extra rows of useless info at the top of the OFT csv file that aren't there in the EcuTek file. I'm going to strip them out and try again in a bit (gotta go down to my desktop).

Don't try to load up a full log, it'll be....interesting (685whp anyone? lol). I would recommend either editing a log or just doing a new one (i'd remove the rows before you go WOT in 3rd and after you let off, throttle position <9x%). It'll make everything cleaner. |

I was able to get it to load as well. My log was from an uphill on ramp so the dyno won't be accurate but it does load the log now.

and don't forget you have to choose the car (upper left side) and set the values (like weight).

GREAT STUFF!
I still need to understand how to fix if slightly uphill and how to understand if the pull is done properly or not, will make few test soon. For ppl like me where for ONE launch on the dyno they want around 100euro this program is a life saver |

I don't think there's really any fix for uphill, but if you do one pull uphill, then one downhill, just average the results. Still not 100%, but neither is Virtual Dyno 100% anyway. Properly is ~2k rpm to redline. WOT.

Is not properly working for me, Can't display past 5krpm
My dyno stop at 5,2k rpm. any suggestion? Anyone can upload his csv file that works so I can compare with mine? I think openoffice is fucking up the size of the column or somethingelse. Any suggestion? Last edited by Victor Draken; 03-04-2014 at 08:28 AM. |

Open the CSV in a proper text editor, not in excel/open office/etc.
