Our raw units are back in stock and we have an order headed out to FT-86 SpeedFactory now. Black units will be back in stock in 1-2 weeks depending on powdercoater's time-frame.

We have another version being prototyped and test fit to improve aesthetics, overall install would be the same.

Few photos from various customers:

Thanks,
Eric

Just got mine. Nice quality product. It was a cool day at the track so still waiting to see if they help with cooling the JRSC setup which was running at 240F on a 100F day.

These were out of stock for a little bit. They are now back in stock in both raw and black powder coated form. Full sets and half-sets are available through us, full sets are available through FT-86 SpeedFactory.

Thanks,
Eric

Hi Eric,

Any update on the version with improved aesthetics? I would love the cooling benefit from the vents, but am not yet sold on the appearance... Am curious what you've got planned!

Thanks!

Below are photos. A few things to note:
-These are prototypes, wickers are not installed because I didn't have any at the time of install.
-These fit in the same holes as the previous design.
-I need to clean up the louver cut yet, which is why you see the white peaking through.
-The logo is a vinyl sticker, which we are working on including with kits moving forward for those that want to place it on the louvers.
-They only look different close-up, far away they look roughly the same as the previous design.
-We assume similar results, potentially a bit less evacuation since they are slanted.

I will post more photos when I remove the hood and clean up the cuts for the new louvers.

Yes, they are. I let the customer know when they sent me the photos. It's in the instructions how to properly install them.

Thanks,
Eric

I dig the prototypes. Looking to pull the trigger on these soon. Good work.

Thanks. The units are interchangeable as well.

We heard what some people were saying and adapted the design to suit their wants, potentially.

Thanks,
Eric

Updates on the slanted hood louver design.

Here they are in raw and the 3D printed press tooling.

What transfers over?
-Mounting holes are the exact same.
-Wickers are the same.
-Rain guards will also work with these as well.

We have a dozen or so at powder coating as well. I'll work on getting them up on the website and to FT86SF shortly. Pricing will be the same.

Thanks,
Eric

Not sure what I'm missing, what's different about the new design? Can you post some pictures of the new next to the old highlighting the differences?

Thanks!

The old ones have the louvers perpendicular to the body of the vent (and body of the car when installed). The new ones are angled so when installed the outer edge of the louver will be further back than the inner edge. Hopefully that makes sense.

I'm sorry it took so long to get these photos taken but been really busy lately.

Here is side by side photos of the two units.

Small louver comparison

Large louver comparison

I'll work on getting these on the website shortly, black and raw units are both available again. Wickers come with the louvers standard, like always.

Thanks,
Eric
