It was tested in Colorado during the winter.

Rotrex fluid is designed to work in temps as low as -40C (-40F).

I'll be jealous of your power....

Slightly off topic here but can we talk about gauges for second. I know its important to monitor your AFR as well as boost (thinking AEM Failsafe), but is oil temperature more important then oil pressure?

Since I'm in CA, the strictest of states, I can't do too much tuning wise. How is the stock, CARB approved tuning? Also, if I have the TRD exhaust, will that cause any issues with the SC?

Also with the typically Valley heat, should I get a oil cooler, or will it be alright at temps in excess of 100 degrees F?

I believe the dyno on page 1 is the carb tune. So a peak of ~218 tq and 282whp.

Well, that is impressive. Will I need any add-ons if I go with the complete kit, or is it plug and play?

Also I'm assuming the TRD exhaust won't cause any issues with it.

Plug and play with the CARB Tune kit.

No issues with the TRD exhaust. I had a Perrin non-resonated CBE when I installed my CARB tune kit and had NO issues.

Still haven't had any issues and I'm coming up to 10K worth of heavy/hard miles on the kit

Edit: I'm in CA too and also got the oil cooler kit. The JR Oil Cooler kit is worth the extra money. It's nice to have...

Yup!

I put the JR SC and Oil Cooler Kit on when I only had 3k miles. So, add my commute to work, it adds up pretty quickly.

I'm almost thinking of getting a hybrid for the work commute and use this as a weekend toy. Gut it, strip it, make it scream for speed... Just need to convince the wifey

Most importantly... not one issue. No belt problems, oil leaks, codes, etc... nothing... CARB tune's great... it's just all good... I may not be at 300hp (yet), but it's so much fun to drive!

That's perfect! Just what I needed to know. Thanks guys - I'm planning on picking one up depending on how good my tax returns are this year. Gotta get tires and wheels first though.

Did any of you self-install it? I live in an HoA where they don't let you do any major work unless it's in your garage, so I can't do that much in terms of lifting the car to work on it or leaving it overnight to work on, so if it takes a ton of work I may just take it to a shop. However from what I've seen, it looks pretty simple to install so I may get to have the fun of doing it myself.

I installed it in my garage. Also added the Raceseng pulley kit and DSS aluminum driveshaft. Also did an oil change.

Started Saturday morning and finished Sunday morning. That's after several breaks, photos, lowes run, and beer drinking (after the install of course).

This was my absolute FIRST TIME ever installing an FI kit on a car and I didn't have any issues.

I compare it to building ikea furniture. Read the instructions, under stand the part names, and take your time. It's easy and I had fun doing it

Like building IKEA furniture? Shit. I have a dresser sitting in my closet with no drawers because I got feed up trying to put them together and just left the parts under my bed xD
