I was going to say the same thing! Plug in hybrid.

The other possibility is a dual tank setup for E85 or a dual tank for water injection.

I think it is just necessary for the fact that it is on the rear fender. Here is the 370Z:

Interested if it was $35k starting. Better looking than the Supra. I prefer a straight six though, but MT will sell me. It’ll be on the very short list of future prospects.

Do any plug-in hybrids have the fueling port and the electrical port in the same location? Seems dicey to me.

The big fuel door gives you a shield to hide behind while you plug it in.

I like the lines and think it has better potential than the Supra for aesthetic mods. I’m not a huge fan of these renders, but they illustrate the potential. Like the 350z/370Z, it should have a lot of aftermarket support.

I don't think it will start at 40k. This car is more of a refresh than a complete makeover which would've increased the price a lot. Also when Infiniti ditched the 3.7 for the 3.0TT in the Q50/60 I noticed there wasn't a massive or minor price increase. I believe starting price will be 34-35k with no LSD, 18" wheels, regular suspension, cloth seats and stock calipers. A well appointed model will be high 30's to mid 40's fully decked out with premium + nav and sport pkg.

I think a lot of people are going to regret buying a $50k+ Zupra once they find out the Z's MSRP.

Good point. Probably not safe.

Maybe. I’m sure an equally well optioned Z will be similar in price, yet still won’t have what the Supra has in premium features, nor will it match completely the top features. I don’t know how the B58 compares to the VR30, but the B58 is stout. The automatic isn’t even on my radar, but is the out in the Zs/Q50/60 good? I’m assuming it isn’t the ZF8 or as good, but I dunno. If the Z is running 9’s with a few bolt ons then I’m sure some people will have regrets.

I dunno about that...the current Z in Canada starts off at just over 30k CAD and maxes out just under 50k CAD

The Supra starts off at 56k CAD for the 4 banger and can get closer to 70k CAD.

Theres something more than price that will make customers favor one of these over the other.

Idk if the Z will be offered with all the goodies we see on a loaded Supra. But base for base, those that brought the 4 banger should have just waited. Don't know or care about the auto. A 6 speed Z is what interests me.
