If you are actually serious about going someplace there is probably a good demand for your current skill set with overseas engineering companies. There would be a much better chance of getting a job through them then with a legit contractor (you are not even remotely qualified) or some shady mercenary group (again mostly bullshit anyway).

Surprisingly, the "legit" occupations, ie, food services, cleaning latrines, etc, would be exactly what I'd be doing if I was still in the military, but deployed overseas, except I'd be making better money.

Nah the tier 2 and 3 jobs don't pay for shit and there is a waiting list of about 2 years for open positions just to be a gate guard or dishwasher. There is a guy at work that has been trying to get a job with any of the contractors for 2 years. He has spent almost $100K on training courses and still gets rejection letters saying he isn't trained well enough and there are no openings even if he was. That is why I made my first statement. All that money he has spent so far has been with places that "guaranteed" placement if he took their training courses. There are so many highly qualified actual combat vets out of work that they more than fill the need for contractors. Don't fall for the training or placement scams.

Why would anyone in their right mind do this? Not ragging on you, @Cole. I know you're just spitballing but that cash would've paid for a great university education in,... well, shit, he could've become a physician and actually made money helping people, not killing them.

Understood, but I've spent over a year in total doing stupid fucking courses for the army that got me nowhere. Should I put to waste everything that the Queen paid for me to do? Or should I make her proud, in the hopes that one day she's going to Knight me, and I'll get the pleasure of smelling her snatch while she does it?
