Use stockers for wheel alignment?
Is it okay to use stock wheels for alignment then swap to my new wheels for DD and autocross? My new tire size will be from the top of my head 245/55/17. I've been hearing about people getting damaged wheels after alignments and it's making me really nervous. Sorry if someone finds an old post about this, but I couldn't find anything while on my mobile. Thanks.

Your alignment won't change, but going from stock wheels/tires to much wider might give you clearance issues at the strut up front. All depends on your wheel offset, how much camber you're trying to get up front, if you're on coilovers or stock diameter springs, and if you're adjusting camber at the knuckle or with a camber plate.
Unless your alignment guy is a hack, they won't damage your wheels at all.
