Actually the only thing that will be similar to DA is the way the dialog trees work and interactions with your party characters.

ME is a third person shooter, it plays mostly like Gears of War.

I only played DA on like a demo, which played like KOTOR, very D&D inspired, pseudo turn based, not similar to ME at all.

Anybody playing Gears of War 4 on PC? I haven't gotten it yet but probably will down the line since it does co-op cross platform (but not PvP) and two of my sons are playing it on Xbox One. Loved the original on PC.

I was thinking about it... Was gonna read some reviews to see how it is on PC first.

Gears of War probably wont run very well (much like Forza Horizon 3). I'm pretty sure the game runs inside of an Xbox emulator on Windows 10, which would explain all the performance issues people are experiencing. Regardless, I'm still glad they're bringing games to windows 10

I doubt it's an emulator. The processing power needed to emulate a modern system and run games would be pretty high.
It's probably just a shitty port.
Halo 5 is running great on my PC.

Every review of Gears 4 PC I've read has been praising it on PC. Awesome amount of video settings and customization, and it actually runs well. I'm thinking of picking it up.

Yes, technically its been reviewed as the best of the "play anywhere" Windows/Xbox titles so far.

As for the game itself, I dont think it lived up to expectations.

I know IGN gave the game a 9.2 but after watching both of the reviews (as well as many others) I am siding with GameSpot on this one.
I've played every single Gears game and wanted something more than the exact same thing with fresh paint. (and for the record I play Gears games for the campaign not the online competitive multiplayer)

I intend on buying it but not at full price.

That's a good point. Since I normally play just campaign and maybe some light multiplayer on Gears, I'll probably wait for a price drop too.

I'm just glad there's finally a Microsoft DX12 UWP game that runs right after the disappointing releases/ports before it.

All 3 were kinda exactly the same. I guess I didn't expect snuggling different this time. What would they do, make it first person like halo. The over the shoulder camera and hiding behind cover was kinda what made the game different from COD and halo to begin with

My Steam backlog is so large I (almost) never buy a game at full price. Last one I bought was Fallout 4, but only because it is my favorite series, and I had a gift credit on Steam to cover it.

Before that, the last full price/new game I purchased was probably over 5 years ago.

That's good to hear.

I am a little disappointed that the "Play Anywhere" only works if you buy it through the Microsoft Windows store as a digital download. As far as I can tell retail "hard" copies don't have this feature.

Am I wrong on that?

Yes and no.

Any digital copy you buy is privy to to the "play anywhere".
So you can order the digital version for Amazon or buy it at Best Buy because they are all the exact same type of code you redeem.

So correct, hard copies dont get it, but incorrect that you have to buy from Microsoft.
