Disable NAV Safety Features
Hey guys,
I need to read through my manual in more depth but I wanted to know if you guys know how to turn off some of the safety features of the Infotainment system. For example I cant select a contact in my Phone menu while the car is moving but I can dial back numbers from my call log, Id like to be able to access my contacts all the time. |

There are other threads regarding this. You have to ground a wire and splice a switch into the GPS wire. The only way you're bypassing the GPS lock-out is by making the GPS think the car is stationary -> switch.

Here is a way to do it without any wiring for us Canadian folk:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24934 Also, the reason it won't allow you to do anything is not because you are moving it is because the e-brake is not pulled. Many people have put in switches to bypass this. Just do a simple search in the DIY section |
