It rained here in South Dakota, figured I would take a couple pics after the sun started to peek as it was setting.

Welcome!

Starting in spring there are several weekly meets. The one I usually go to is Rice Killers in Champlin, but it's sort of hit and miss.

The 1st Saturday of the month is Cars and Coffee at AutoMotorplex in Chanhassen. It's a huge event with a great varity of cars of all types. I highly recommend going, but get there early if you want a spot in the display area.

Where are you moving from?

Awesome, thanks! Moved here from Sioux Falls, SD. Are there any autocross offerings in the area, or is Brainard it?

Welcome! We hold two events at Brainard every summer "MAP Proving Grounds" which is a blast. There are lots of auto X events in the cities, not just Brainard. There are a few parking lot style events, and a small track like event at Dakota County Technical College which is pretty fun.

So stopped behind an SUV in a parking lot and he backed right up into me despite my honking to warn him.

It punched a surprisingly clean hole in my bumper the exact shape of his trailer hitch receiver.

He was very apologetic. Accidents happen, it's just a car and no one was hurt. That's what insurance is for, but still

Aww man that sucks! Sorry about it. Would repairing require changing the bumper or just that part can be patched up?

I've had the bumper cover off before, it's all one peice so it will have to be replaced. Not totally a bad thing since the bottom of my bumper has seen a fair amount of scrapes and dings.

If you would rather add a little carbon fiber than pay your deductible, you may be in luck. Looks like you got tagged in a "good" spot. A mustache cover may be an easy fix for you. Found a couple options here.
