Unmasking the FR-S / BRZ / FT-86 Mule

Had to use Painter and PS to get this done,

I raised the exposure level of the original photo to see the contours and retraced them to see the form. Then filled in the blanks and added lighting.

Here is what the FT86 production mule looks like for the global market.

Ill come up with the rear view later today.

Nice job WingsofWar! Although that nose needs to be angled, everything else looks very nicely interpreted.

Nice job WW!

Ugggh, hopefully that squared-off hood won't make it into final production.

This is looking more Scion...

its hardly an interpretation, the nose is really like that. The only thing i did was remove the camo texture. Which is why the edit is gray rather than another color.

highly disappointed ...i hope production doesn't look like this. The squared off hood, the turning signals above the fogs, the new much bigger side mirrors that look like the tiburon's. I mean I knew shit was gonna change but if it really goes in this direction I'm going to start loosing interest...fast.

Anyone know if it is legal to have turn signals that low in a production car (right above fogs)?

The only issue is visibility in respect to location.

V C Section 24952 Visibility Requirements of Signals

Visibility Requirements of Signals

24952. A lamp-type turn signal shall be plainly visible and understandable in normal sunlight and at nighttime from a distance of at least 300 feet to the front and rear of the vehicle, except that turn signal lamps on vehicles of a size required to be equipped with clearance lamps shall be visible from a distance of 500 feet during such times.

These are also American laws. The regulations for these things are probably a bit different in Europe

Here is a good comparison between US and Europe regulations.
