I'll just leave this here...

Results of mask-wearing
There are numerous studies that suggest if 80% of people wear a mask in public, then COVID-19 transmission could be halted. Until a vaccine or a cure for COVID-19 is discovered, cloth face masks might be the most important tool we currently have to fight the pandemic.

Given all of the laboratory and epidemiological evidence, the low cost of wearing masks – which can be made at home with no tools – and the potential to slow COVID-19 transmission with widescale use, policymakers should ensure that everyone wears a mask in public.

Welp, I ventured out to get a haircut today. Yep, I went down to the Track Side Barber shop, a two-holer. Usually only one Asian lady works there, however, today there were two. My regular gal was working on another, so I took my chances with the new gal.

Now, with the regular gal, I don't have to say anything, she just knows how to cut my hair. However, the new gal, kept asking me all these questions in broken English, through her mask, I was trying to understand and reply through my mask.

OK, she started in and did a good job.

Just as she was finishing up, the other customer had left and that just left the three of us, me and two Asian girls, with black ninja looking robes and with their masks, they looked like twins. Yellow fever washed over my mind and body and just as I was wondering how that would have played out - I snapped out of it - whew, a close one -

Welp, I masked up and went to Walmart yesterday, thinking that Thursday would be a slow day. I was wrong. The store isles were clogged with carts and clerks stocking shelves and clerks with carts of bins filling them for the "pick up" customers. Those folks have no respect for your average in-store shopper. They think just because they have a mask on they can bully shoppers around.

However, on the brighter side, I did see my favorite stocking clerk girl. She is horribly ugly, not disfigured - just ugly. Why is she my favorite? Because she always wears these tight jeans and her ass looks like you could crack an egg on it. Since she had a mask on, I think I could get past her ugliness -

Moving on down the isle, past the macho men without masks, I ran across this absolutely gorgeous young woman and had to comment to her on how pretty she looked today. She stopped and smiled, thanked me and asked me if she knew me. I winked at her and said no, but that she was a very attractive lady. An advantage of wearing a mask, is that she couldn't see me drool -

(waaaaay back in the day, I would have had her in a motel room that afternoon) (oh, leave me alone - it's MY fantasy)

I managed to completely fill the trunk and passenger footwell of my FR-S with groceries. Yep, $243. worth of stuff and I didn't buy any meat or alcohol.

Like my granddaughters say when they hit the house and fling open the refrigerator door, after I've been shopping, "YES, a well stocked refrigerator!"

So, I reckon pa-pa done good -

MomHawk and I just returned from a week of socially distancing on Anna Maria Island in Florida.

(Did you miss me?)

We spent the entire week either on the beach, on the balcony looking at the beach, or in the rental watching British crime dramas when it was too dark to look at the beach.

We barely had cell service, and only used electronic devices to read/listen to books and the occasionally puzzle game.

We ate in, and only ventured out to get provisions. When we did we masked up.

On the way home, stopped in and saw the Grandbaby and her minions.

Best...vacation..ever.

View from our balcony....

There was a good bit of that available but picture taking was restricted due to MomHawk keeping a close eye on the "competition"....

Well, now that our state has a mandatory wear a mask order, and "most" people are going along with the program. However, there was this one "macho" guy, in his late 30s, wearing cargo type shorts, at the grocery store yesterday, that wasn't going to comply with the program completely. He had a camo bandana looking thing around his neck, but nowhere up around his mouth or nose. So, I reckon he is preventing the COVID-19 virus from infecting his neck -

I had fun filling out my COVID form for a routine dentist appointment. Have you left the country in the past 14 days? If yes, please explain: I'm pilot. It's my job. Have you traveled anywhere in the United States in the past 14 days? If yes, please explain. I'm pilot..

Well, I finally got our 1,100 sq. ft. deck ready for the granddaughters summer fun. Pressured washed and treated that 35 year old deck. I swear the only thing that's holding it together is the Thompson's Water Seal.

The pool is filling with 1,000 gal of water (yep, you read that right, about 8,000 lbs. or 4 tons) and the trampoline is set up on the other end. Ma-ma's table, covered with a large umbrella, is positioned in the center (for command and control).

Now, all we need is some warm weather, without rain -
