I just got unexpected news. My estimated delivery date has just been brought forward 3 months.

2 or 3 weeks ago I spoke to my dealer and it was Feb/mar delivery. He just called me today to say that it is now scheduled for production in November for December delivery. He gave me my stock number to track it with Toyota WA.

My dealer was really shocked I've gotten a Dec delivery date, so hopefully more of you will get some good news too.

Happy to confirm I just got off the phone from Hazel from TWA and there has been a increase and I've finally got a date set for November build and December Delivery! Looks like our's might be parked next to each other on the way here!

Does anybody know the equivalent department within TMCA (i.e. the remainder of the eastern states)? If its possible to get your position in the list, I'd be very keen to find out.

I spoke to a woman there today to see if my build date (ear marked) had changed... It hasn't, still Dec 12th, but also asked about the info about additional vehicles allocated to Australia, and she said it is a rumor.

I spoke to my salesperson and he didn't confirm the rumour but doesn't deny it either. Said it just means the January-March timeframe he gave me is more likely and shouldn't be pushed out any further

I guess you've been waiting a while, although 12 Dec isn't too bad considering - that's 2.5 months away ! That means you'll get it mid Jan.

I reckon info re extra allocation will become clearer in the coming week or so. Fingers crossed.

Not waiting too long really, ordered late June. But was promised delivery before x-mas so I knew my wait would at least be 5-6 month so extra 1 is no hassle. So I'm not upset at all with the dealer, or Toyota for that matter but I'm not waiting as long as others are. Would be a nice surprise if it comes forward though as long as I have enough notice to sell my curren car.

My dealer said I would be getting a December build (not that I believe it since I ordered in Aug). Is it just me that would prefer a 2013 build for potential resale value down the track. For me it's no hassle having to wait so an extra month means very little.

Hey guys been away for a bit... Got a phone caller from my dealer last week saying to hold in there, Toyota is going to get be ramping up production and Australia would start seeing more cars arriving. She told me to expect late December early January but didnt wanna guarantee anything because of past circumstances. First thing i asked was where was this info coming from and she simply said "from the top"...

Take what you will from the info i received.. Im not holding me breath anymore. When it arrives it arrives...

Either your dealer is using poetic license or has no idea but Toyota are not the ones building the car; it's Subaru.

For FT-86GOD to be told by a Toyota dealer that Toyota is ramping up production is misrepresentation. All 86/fr-s/brz are being built in Subaru's Gunma Main Plant.
