USB switch for dashcam
Hi guys,
I have a dashcam connected to 2 batteries for parking mode. Also, I am charging a hotspot from the cigarette lighter in the glow box. Everything works fine! Sometimes the juice in the hotspot is less due to the short travel times. The batteries are hardwired so they charge faster and generally have enough juice for 2-3h parking with a 10-15 min drive. I started plugging the hotspot to the batteries so they have juice until batteries die. This is perfect but I don’t want the hotspot draining the BlackVue battery all the time. So now my question. Is it possible to use a usb switch sourced from either the BlackVue battery or the cigarette lighter. I found something like this On amazon. http://USB 3.0 Switch Selector, 2 in...a.co/d/9TayEcC This way I can switch to the cigarette lighter when I really don’t need any notifications send through the hotspot. My concern is if this product would be compatible to use in car since they were built generally for 2 computers sharing mouse and keyboards etc. Sorry for the long post Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Was not aware of these they look nice and a clean option. Not a fan of drilling or cutting the trim but will keep in mind if I do a project in the future. Thanks for sharing.
