I doubt there will be a manual. Tada has no reason to lie. The manual transmission buyers represent such a small fraction of sales that there is no gain to lying. For what, at the hope buyers will buy an auto then sell and buy a manual?

Well, you see, BMW and Toyota had a joint venture in producing a pair of sports cars with the same drivetrain with much of the parts coming from BMW.

New 86's are like some AE86's though.
If you've driven enough AE86's you know that no two drive anything alike at this point. My tS feels very much like my AE86. I've had friends in Japan who sold their AE86's because after buying a new 86 their old car felt redundant.

It has its own warranty, so no.

They have the BMW Ultimate Driving Experience for free to anyone, and they have the package I spoke about for free for BMW new car purchasers (so I've been told), so I could see them doing something for Supra buyers that was special. I was on a tour of the BMW factory in South Carolina, and the tour guide made it clear that this was a free offer that few people requested at the time of purchase, and the dealerships rarely mention, so I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't known, yet was available to Supra buyers.

Poking around in that new Supramkv site I found a thread of photoshopped/rendered A90s.
With the stock wheels and the pics of them so far I was in the "I don't like it" camp.
This and some other nice ones have me rethinking this all now.

I don't think anyone is lying, I just think that no matter if you are 'Tada' or someone else in the car market you just don't know the future.. Gordon Murray is busy designing a new 'F1', it'll be lightweight and support a MT. Why? Because he has been pestered by guys wanting something that is more analogue.. the same guys apparently turning to older cars for that fix. BTW, Gordon is also looking at the steering feel.. wants something close to a Lotus Elan/F40 (2 systems he likes).

Murray is also obsessed with weight, and a manual transmission is still significantly lighter than a DCT or 9-speed auto, so neither Murray, nor a super low volume super car, are the best examples to demonstrate your point.

I doubt there will be a market rebound in demand for MT. The future looks to be electric and transmisssionless. The youth are not learning manuals, and the people who know how to drive manuals are getting older, so they are transitioning off the sticks. The statistics and trends are truly bleak for the MT.

Just wait for a conversion kit to be released eventually, but don't hold your breath for a MT from the factory. I really can only see it in some special edition model that is probably priced ridiculously high like the GTR NISMO.
