I had a pleasant surprise waking up to a hour and 45 minute crawl from the east to north in this icy weather but the car did well. Goes in tomorrow to fix my hood and get its winter grips on.

Also a question, how much weight do you guys think I should put in the back, I don't want too much stress on the rear end of my car and I don't want it too light. Does too much weight cause negative effects on my suspension? how much weight approximately should I put in the back?

Not too sure, but if it were me, I'd throw in roughly 2 bags of water softener salt. That's about 88lbs of combined weight.

I had 120 lbs in the trunk last winter and I thought that was the perfect amount. It was just enough to get me going from a stop. What tire are you using, SaskFr-s?

205/55/16r blizzaks, getting put on steel rims while my bumper is being replaced, i figured 16" wheels will give me more well clearance at the cost of ride height, but I figured with 55 sidewall compared to 45 shouldn't make the difference too substantial. also I heard 205 is good for cutting through snow,
(saw that on this forum). What do you use?

Hey JP, you are running Fortune coilovers if I remember... How are those for ya? Which ones are you running? Did you find the ride quality to improve over stock *while retaining the car's turn in and accuracy?

I have the 510's with Swift spring upgrade and the all new radial bearing which are most recommended for track, but I had them adjust the spring for street use. The springs are 7k all around. As far as ride goes, I couldn't tell you as I'm embarrassed to say, still sitting in their retail packaging. I've only had them for like a year now

I'll install them in the Spring if I don't sell them first. I paid a lot money for these dam things, should have been the first thing I installed. I could use the drop and handling

I also picked up some SPC lower control arms w/toe adjustments to go with them

They come highly recommended and are apparently the best coils you can buy in this price range

Yeah. I was considering the 510's also. Don't know if I would go for swifts tho.. but that would explain the price jump

Yeah even at a year later, if I was thinking of buying coils today, I would get exactly what I already have

That's hard to say about a lot of mods as they change so often and your always looking and wishing you had gotton or waited on something different
