Started drilling the wheels so that they can be bolted together today. Quite nerve racking to be quite honest as I don't want to screw them up haha.

Once these bad boys are bolted up and have some silicon around them, off they go to get some tyres fitted and then I can finally start mocking the RB kit up and start cutting!

Fun times ahead LOL

Seems the cops aren't as bad in vic? I've seen a few RB 86s cruising around there. I'm in Tas so the rules are there, they're just never enforced lol but I'm about to move up to the GC and I wanna go RB but I know I'll get screwed on it up there lol

Cops are iffy here in vic. You get three types here: The ones that want to make your life miserable, the ones that are enthusiasts, and the ones that can't be bothered doing work.

I know a few people in QLD that have modded cars, and as long as you keep it fairly clean and have mod plates it should be fine.

After drilling the wheels, I bolted them up and got them ready for sealing.
I used sikaflex 227 to seal the wheels.

Wheel masked off

All sealed up

Mhmm that dished goodness

Test fitting the fronts for valve and caliper clearance

Update

Some of the many things that I've purchased for the build have finally started arriving

Some Valentis that I managed to score for $100

Racer X Fabrication UCA so I don't have to run CAMBERGANG levels of camber

After what seemed like an eternity to decide upon, I finally chose a colour to wrap the 86 with. Colour is 3M 1080-S51 "Battleship Grey"

Still waiting on a few things like pbm toe, traction rods, and FLCA. Once they arrive I can start cutting.

Fun times ahead

Finally started cutting and fitting the rocket bunny kit.
Didn't get much photos but managed to snap a few.

The point of no return

Front over fenders on, test fit of wheels

Rear overfenders and test fit of rear wheels

The kit was finally on!! All that's left to do is sort out tyres for the wheels, wire in the drls, install side skirts, and paint the kit!

Got mum to help me install the BCL wing (much to her dismay)

Finally got the new wheels on, need to sort out camber for the fronts and drop the car an inch. Also you can see how happy my mum is judging from the look on her face

Rear fitment on point

Also got a new seat

Currently waiting for the kit to be painted and a final alignment and then that's it for now.

Peace

With the kit finally painted (bar the side skirts due to the stupid painter) the kit was finally ready to be put on!!

Fast forward about 2 hours later and bam! We have our finished project.

Also installed my new KEY!S RACING steering wheel with works bell short hub and BRIDE zeta III fixed back.

Got to drive the 86 for the first time since the surgery, even if it was to the alignment shop

Got spotted by a few of my mates :p Very rare to see a rocket bunny here downunder, especially one this low haha

Here's another photo of the epicness

Getting the side skirts and rear diffuser painted next week.
Also in the works is an engine rebuild and turbo kit to make some powaaah
