Problems while changing hvac LEDs
I properly disassembled the hvac and switched the LEDs. I didn't like the white LED in the temp control so I redid it about 4 times. Now when changing the red LED in the first control to a brighter one, it absolutely doesn't light up. I've checked polarities and tried the original LED and nothing works. I suspect the circuit board may have blown or something (Im quite a n00b here).
Any ideas on what could have gone wrong? For the first and last controls, I used the corvette leds from oznium and for the middle, I successfully soldered leds from digikey. http://www.digikey.com/product-detai...7-1-ND/2440543 http://www.oznium.com/corvette-c5-led |

Did you ground yourself every time you were about to touch the circuit board?

I believe so, although I did have someone get in and start grabbing circuit boards. If they weren't grounded what would happen to the board. If the only things not working is the LED what would you guess?

With the LEDs, maybe something went wrong during the soldering process. |

The soldered ones worked out fine. They still currently light up. The two on opposite ends, temp control and "blow" control do not light but still function correctly.

Post a picture of the circuit board. Maybe soldering and unsoldering the led so much caused damage. Might be repairable by cutting the trace.

The soldered board is fine. The problems are with both of the circuit boards using the plugNplay LEDs. I'll still attach pictures though.

Use a voltmeter at the LED's leads. If there's power and you reversed the LEDs with still with no results then your LEDs are the problem or cold solder joints if you get no power.

Just checked back today to find that several lights are out. In the hvac panel, all three knobs no longer light up (temp, intensity, and direction). Also the trac, sport/snow, and vsc sport lights no longer work. Only working lights are hazard, time, passenger airbag/seatbelt, and the gear indicator. Is it possible that I blew a fuse? If so, which should I try?
