im going to refrain from saying anything here, because on the last "what are you doing to help" thread, i stated on the first page i was going to ceramic coat the carbon fiber trunk so that it wards off the virus due to a decreased coefficient of friction, and lands on other people after being repelled by me. and now i feel silly

Well, you can now ceramic coat your carbon wing as it will keep the airflow nice, clean and slippery.. this can be your new normal..

WFH is particularly funny in a way for me, as my cousin just stopped WFH about a year ago. his company had extremely stringent rules about home use at the time because many people were screwing around when using it, and he also realized that there was absolutely no career advancement for anyone that did it. so he had just started going back into the office to make face and awareness in an effort to move up...

I once found a stack of girly magazines on the top shelf of my brother's closet.

I tried to read them, but for some reason many of the pages seemed to be stuck together.

That is an interesting point I haven't thought of.

The problem with our guy that works from home is no one else knows how to do his job. So if he says it takes 3 days to do something, that's what it is. Knowing what I know, and how he works when he is here. It's BS.

So there are some very large companies that have tried this to save money and went back to having employees come into offices. It seems like an alright idea and it works for a while, but it has been shown to cause other problems which winds up making this less efficient in the long run.

he and his wife had just bought a puppy at the time, and had their first child. she still was working downtown at the time, so you can imagine how distracted he was caring for '2' kids while trying to maintain corporate productivity goals.

My highschool friend's brother used to keep his girly mags in a large bin much like the one below. The bin lived in his bedroom next to his bed. His parents never said anything...and he was very busy with girls too...

If there's an upside to C-19 in the US it's that, according to a close friend in senior management with the Oregon State Police, it's that crime of all kinds is way down. I guess with people staying home and about a third of all Oregonians having access to a gun, criminals are showing some semblance of intelligence and laying low. Not expecting that to be the new normal though.

I've changed my plan from converting my home located in a prime recreational Airbnb rental area into an addiction recovery home. Not for me or anyone in my family, but to take up a little slack from overwhelmed local agencies. It seems like the right thing to do during these historic times.

I think we have a way to go for anything near what we were used to only a few months ago. The next shoe to drop may be what happens to economies worldwide hooked on so-called quantitative easing that has the potential to have a bigger effect on society than C-19.

Yeah I mean you really have to find ways to mearsure progress/productivity. This is actually better though because a guy who isn't good could spend hours and produce nothing even while you watch him. So the more objective approach is just to look at the end product.

Most of us have that can inside our head. It's called the "spank bank". LOL
