@radroach thank you, any other mods you recommend? I'm really curious as to what has changed over the years. I have read in many places about oil cooling and using the mishimoto cooler but it tends to leak due to it sandwiching between the plate.
@Adam_L I got a second job that I work at once a week just for mods and repairs everything from my main job I use for savings and my daily bills and whatnot. |

It has a slight whine but doesn't bother me because I know it's normal. I can't recall how much it cost but I took the diff out (couple hours) and took it to a guy to get set up. Then I reinstalled it. Revs increase by 15% as well, by the way. But I cruise happily at 120kmh and around town I'm in 4th or 5th. I assess all mods as HP per $ or Nm per dollar and this is the best torque mod after headers and E85 when you look at it like that. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk |

I get it, you'll mod for fun. It really doesn't add to the value of the car though , and in most cases when people go to buy a used car, something that looks like it may have been moded and/or has mods on it won't get good /great value

@radroach appreciate it @Adam_L I'm not looking to make a profit out of the car as I have decided to just keep it and experiment as well as learn along the way. Last resort is either LS swap( easy to go over 300+ NA) with how much support the platform has received some companies have made like SIKKY. Maybe put in a new motor once mine blows and SC it. I don't plan on ever going past 350 hp with the weight of this vehicle 350 being the most I generally want to be in the ballpark of 270-310. Much I have to learn

After paying gas / insurance / registration, maintenance on just about any car the last 20-30 years, no cars are a "profit" after you go to sell them. Possibly if you pick one up for cheap ... $5k , put $1k into it , then quickly sell it local , then it maybe possible to make some kind of dollars. I wasn't talking profit , I was just talking overall costs of ownership.

@Adam_L oh I see now, my apologies I misunderstood your earlier post. You are absolutely right, I understand this hobby I am diving into is an expensive one that has no return for the investment for the most part.

The spine tingling pleasure you get from perfectly negotiating your favourite corner is an excellent return on investment

Have to say it: Gearing changes are maybe good for zero-to-XX mph, but overall don't necessarily equate to better performance. 15% increase in wheel torque until you have to upshift sooner, then massive deficit in wheel torque due to having to be in a taller transmission gear. If you are *specifically* interested in zero-to-XX mph acceleration, there may be some benefit but overall, accelerating from random speeds, no net benefit. Gearing doesn't *magic* you any improvement in power/weight.
