Thanks!

First design I made had same design as 86 revealed yesterday... but more feedback I got from the members, better & better it got. I hope, Toyota do make shootingbrake 86 into production... just have better design than current one. Or hire me, I'll make sure to get it right

I was a bit disappointed with the revision model, but now I am even more disappointed. What is this thing? This is not a sports car anymore. If anyone wants such a thing, then he should better go and buy a golf or something similar. Let's hope that this will remain just a concept car.

60% yay / 40% nay... Ichitaka's version looks better in the back. You perceive a difference in the transition between the normal car and the new addition. They can definitely improve upon that concept.

You know, if they make this, they're not going to stop making 86 coupes right?

Also, Golfs are nice, but they're not RWD. If Toyota were to make this, they'd instantly have the best handling hot hatch in a market that seems to still be buying hot hatches in droves. That's a very good argument for Toyota to do this.

hmm just for discussion how many RWD Hatch or Wagon is out there at the moment. Besides the BMW 1, and also is that really that good of a car?

Just looking at things for comparison sakes.

Ditto. If it had been available with the MT, I would have bought one instead of the sedan.

And the BMW 1 hatch isn't even available in the U.S.

Nothing new. The only old ones I can think of are the Z3M clown shoe and the kinda hatch more liftback Z4M coupe. No experiance with either though.

If they could ship it under 2850 lbs fully fueled and operational, add 4" of leg room in the rear, keep the suspension the same and priced under $28k I'd be standing in line for it check book in hand for the down payment and phone in the other listing mine for sale.

A heavier FRS with more trunk space. Not feeling it. But I've never been part of the hatchback crowd

BMW 3 and 5 series wagons are all the same powertrains as the sedan/coupe versions.

Mercedes still makes all their wagons with the same powertrain as their sedans and coupes and has been selling an AMG wagon here for at least the last 10-15 years consistently.

577 hp RWD 5.5L V8 biturbo at your service with a 3.6s 0-60 (AT only):

Automakers may be making them in droves, but I doubt they're selling that well, they take a pretty hard hit on resale and they're almost always discounted on the lot from what I've seen, actual production numbers of the FiST/FoST are relatively small compared to the volume of the eco-boxes.
