Thanks for putting these up. Any WOT logs? Those are the ones that are interesting to look at and compare.

I have been seeing a lot of you logging a/f learn values? and a lot more then 25 parameters being logged at a time. I was under the impression that you wanted to keep the parameters you were logging to 25 and under since the more you log the more the values could be incorrect?

The more parameters you log simultaneously the less resolution you get (number of rows of data in a time-frame). It shouldn't make any parameter inaccurate, but you want a decent amount of resolution, especially if you are troubleshooting a specific issue.

If you logged a WOT run for example, log too many parameters and you would see large jumps in RPM, like one row would show data for 3200rpm, the next row would show data for 3800rpm, and you would be missing a lot of data between 3200 and 3800rpm.

Logging fewer parameters would give you rows with 3200rpm, 3233, 3275, 3290, 3310, etc. as an example. That's increased resolution and gives you more detail to work with.

Always follow your tuner's requests on what parameters to log for them, as they are asking for specific parameters to make the adjustments needed.

For your own use, 25 parameters or less is a good rule of thumb.

The Local Tuners in South Africa is new to ECUTEC and most 86 setups run SC - Vortec.. So I will be th first to play in the Turbo Space.

As far as I know the maps are tied to your vin or dongle Id info. I could be 100percent wrong.

Anyone care to correct me?

I just flashed back to stock after my second tune, and I still like it better. I'm just not sure about the afr - the minimum was 12.17. What are safe values for an intake and exhaust?

I mean I really love where it is now.. the torque dip is not as noticeable. It pulls in second and in third and a bit in fourth (Automatic). Without the mods, I would feel the pull from 2k to 2.5k, then you would feel the lag above that until you hit 4.5k. Right now it almost feels linear.

I'd rather keep this then get a tune if it doesn't feel as good. I sent my logs, so we'll see what happens next time I flash. I do see the knock, but I've read that been reading that the stock rom does have tip in knock.

Ok so I have been logging my car for some time and had been very disappointed with the IAM falling all the way to 0.45. Today I flashed a stage 1 rom and as expected the IAM started at the set 1.00. I went for a drive normal cruise for few minutes then did a 2nd,3rd,4th full throttle run. Very slight knock and IAM went from 1.00 to 0.98 (fair enough). Then I started another log a few minutes later and during that log, normal driving, IAM fell massively from 0.98 to 0.85 to 0.65 in less than a few seconds. I tried going through all the logged items to try and find a correlation to what was causing this drop and couldn't find a thing. I am attaching JPEGs of the logs and also the log files themselves. If anyone wants to do some analysis and figure out why the massive IAM drop would be much appreciated.
