Thanks for the screenshot! Do you think it'd be safe to pretty much try running your numbers to eliminate knock or just keep revising until I find the sweet spot? Running some the same gas as you & 2.06 tune. Only difference is I'm running STG2 because I have catless headers installed.

Here's a 2nd gear pull after driving around a bit, looks a lot better than my previous logs.

yes yours will be different due stage 2 tune which runs different ignition advance and fueling.

just do a couple of revisions like @JB86'd did and you should be fine. I would copy his changes from the IAT compensation table though to make compensation cut in a bit earlier.

you will probably have to put up with the occasional bit of correction of 0.7 or less on occasions.

the only other thing would be to smooth the entry and exits in your changes to base_timing_B like on JB86'd example

Here's a new log! Still using my first revision.

http://datazap.me/u/phantobe/2nd-3rd...=0&data=1-4-14

Lowest I seen my IAM drop is .88. Looks like I can fine tune it a bit more. What do yah think? :S @steve99

yes looks like another 0.7 or so pulled from 5000-7000 loads 1 to 1.4, then have a look round the 1500 to 3000 area for any knock correction once the IAM gets back to 1

Did a 2nd gear pull today and noticed some positive FLKC values (IAM was approx .94), does this indicate that I should add timing to these locations & perhaps I pulled too timing?

means the ecu is returning flkc timing it pulled previously in that area . ecu has a table where it stores flkc values, so thats ok.

i would not add any timing till your iam is 1 and yur seeing no knock events .

read lnk below on "flashing reset learning" and try the vishnu reset trick to bump your iam to 1 then check for knock again

any worry on these track logs at mrls? http://www.datazap.me/u/xero404/mrls...4?log=0&data=2

tried to use the new alerts but i'm pretty new to this tuning thing and didn't know what things to look out for. i did notice that oil temp wasn't one of the options for the alerts.

It does look like you're running a bit rich, supposed to see low 12s high 11s mid to high rpm afaik.

I'm new (still learning a lot).

But from this log it looks like you're running too aggressive of a tune, you're pulling a lot of timing you can see this from all the negative FLKC values. Oddly enough your IAM isn't dropping below 0.96.

What octane/tune are you running and what mods do you have?

I would recommend doing a few 2nd gear or 3rd gear pulls at WOT, you don't need to log for an hr. Just do a few quick pulls at WOT (rev from 2k RPM to redline-ish) & the graph will be much easier to read/analyze.

Any comments or concerns on this? It's a second gear WOT pull. Stock w/ drop-in, running 2.063 stage 2 EL E85 map. No residual petrol left in tank; been running on this tune w/ E85 for several hundred miles.

http://www.datazap.me/u/kch/2nd-wot-...ta=1-8-9-11-12

I'm brand new to data logging and tuning, so bear with me. I'm concerned because I never see my IAM change from 0(?). Also concerned that my KC Learned gets up to 6 at 5k rpm WOT.

Read thru a bit of this thread
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75315

Looks like something is wrong with your template or something, IAM should be 1.0 (if you're knock free).

Also you should be logging FLKC & Knock Correction.

Thanks for the input! if it looks aggressive maybe i should pay @Shiv@Openflash a visit since he's local

Engine Mods include Tomei UEL headers, Crawford BPBs and an Apexi Drop In Filter. I am currently running the beta 91 BPB beta tunes on chevron 91 octane.

The logs i posted were for my entire session at Laguna Seca to see how the tunes will do in a harsh conditions being run on the track, thus the long time of them.

I'll have to do a couple 2nd gear WOT logs soon and post them up.

Its definitely an option shiv is great!

However it depends what you want to do, there is plenty of information on this forum to customize the tune yourself. But if you don't want to invest the time, Shiv is the way to go.

I assume the BPB tunes have a tune that account for catless headers (not sure dont have BPB)?
