Would the Racecomp Yellow, or Tarmac springs be a good fit with the Koni dampers without making the ride as harsh as the stock '13 setup?
RCE Yellow are a great fit for the Konis. They will be back in stock soooooon.

Thanks Andrew, that means they will be listed on the Racecomp Engineering site once they’re in stock again?

Yup! If you want, PM me and I can have someone send you a message when they're in. No deposit or anything needed.

Hey guys, just wondering if I'm going to need a camber kit for a 1 inch drop on lowering springs? I'm I going to be way out of spec?

There is no way to really answer that. It all depends on how OCD you are about your alignment. On a 1" drop the fronts isnt gonna be affected much, but the rears will gain some natural camber from lowering. Some people have gotten away without camber kits and some people needed them. For example after lowering you could get -1.6 and -2.0 in the rear if that bothers you and you want it to be even you will need rear control arms.

It actually depends on how you define "spec" and what you're going for.

From an email discussion with CSG,
"At a 1 inch drop with [coilovers], you'll have a natural rear camber of approxmately -2.1 degrees; this is totally acceptable and will not need rear lower control arms."

Whereas the extra negative camber in the front is only going to be useful, unless for some weird reason you want zero front camber (which is the manufacturer's spec btw).

See also https://www.ft86motorsports.com/wheelitfit/ for some estimates on how much natural camber you'll get with different amounts of drop.

Lowering does not add camber in the front, because we have a Mac Strut design.

What's the best place to reference for torque specs on bolts/parts that are 2017+ only?
e.g. Performance Package Brembo brakes, red intake manifold, etc.

Equal length double wishbone suspension doesn't change camber on suspension travel, but MacPherson strut does.
I do however agree that the front camber changes due to lowering the car will be minimal. -0.3º for a 1" drop, according to that calculator.

A service manual.

Most specs do not change.

You mean the 2013 one?
How do I know if a spec did change (e.g. brackets for Brembos) and to what value?

Sorry if this has been asked already...

How do you set height on the RCE Tarmac 2? To me it looks like height is set by spring preload. Is there a way to set the ride height independent of preload?

Thanks!

Like most higher-end european style coilovers, you're only preloading the helper spring for the most part. Our coilovers have a long stroke, so there's a lot of travel to work with. Unless you're completely slammed (2 inches ore lower) you end up with more bump AND more droop travel than most dual height adjustable coilovers. Droop travel is important, and there's a severe lack of it on a lot of those coilovers.

For reference, our T2s have more than 1.5 inches more total front stroke than a BC ER coilover. That's huge.
