AutoX Parts Setup

I figured I'd start a thread to see what everyone is running on their BRZ/FRSs for autocross/track days
SCCA CS/RTR
-225/45/17 Dunlop Star Specs on stock wheels.
-OE Camber Bolt (-1.2deg, 0.0 toe)
-K&N drop-in
-Hawk HP+ (part number is HB432N.661)
-ATE Super Blue fluid

I'm waiting on a front bar. I want to see someone else monkey with it first

Add muffler delete to that. I have a "build" thread on NASIOC in the autocross section. I would skip the hawk, go with ferodo or stoptechs.

Of which you can't use for this topic. Only the pads that fit the OEM brakes.

I'd skip the super blue and go with their amber colored fluid - unless you want your brake reservoir to be dyed blue (keeping you from easily figuring out the brake level).

Anyone know if the front subframe has to be dropped for the front sway bar installation?

Don'y forget to do the model interchange to all the lighter Premium parts

The really simple answer is because its a street car and there is probably no street car that is really going to be faster in stock class with a rear bar, especially a RWD one. The front bar does two main things we want. 1. preserve camber by adding roll resistance to the front. 2. It assists with inside rear tire wheel spin. While the car has a torsen, it only works if there is load on both rear tires.

My current setup:

SCCA CS

Current:
245/40/17 Hoosier A6s on 17x7 +42 Velox PG-5S
Subaru crash bolts
aFE oiled air filter
Perrin 2.5" catback without resonator and custom track pipe for larger events

Future:
Likely a front swaybar

Some shocks, still deciding what route to go

I know why people put huge FSBs on other Subarus, but I'm not too sure it is useful on a BRZ.

I'm not sure too much roll/weight transfer is an issue with this car on street tires. Is it?
On the other hand, a bit bigger RSB might help with turn-in.
I've only autox'ed it once, and on stock tires.

Only one way for sure but I'm going to bet yes, just a question of how big.

The BRZ/FRS is RWD. You want a bigger front bar and a small/OEM or no rear bar for most RWD cars with a stock(ish) set-up.

I run RTR but will likely switch to CS next season, so...
-Camber bolts
-17x7s with 225 Dunlops/Yokos/Hoosiers
-Bigger front anti-sway
-Konis (when available)
-Catback
