Try calling exhaust shops in your area and asking if they know anyone that does it. Some of the commercial coating companies in my area do offer it, but it is not readily apparent that they do.

Hahaha I may, but i'll be honest.. thats already sounding expensive.. Prob charge me more than the header is worth.

The GRMN 86 also came with decently sized hood vents so the heat from the header is mitigated quite a bit. GRMN is like STi, they don't have to play by all the production rules with super low volume vehicles..

One option is to make a sort of heat shield using something like Design Engineering Form-A-Shield.

Unlike heat wraps, it still allows the pipes to "breathe" and not trap any oil, grease, or liquids that can damage the pipes while managing engine bay heat. Moreover, you can use the excess sheet to wrap the other pipes like front & mid pipes that contribute to cabin heat and event the muffler/resonator that traps the heat even more. Wrapping these pipes also absorb the pipe's natural vibrations therefore affecting the tone of exhaust. On my 2019 TRD SE exhaust for example, it muffled the mid & high notes leaving behind a bassy hum & also reduced cabin noise.

I've tried using high-temp spray ceramic coating for headers before I installed the FT86 UEL & even coated it several times. However, the heat was still significant.

Whats a GRMN/86 GRMN? Is that a new 86 Trim offered by Toyota?

86 GRMN is a very limited serie for JDM with A LOT of improvements to standard cars. It doubles the price...

I don't think that there is much difference while running.
The stock heatshields are for cat, that can reach very high temperatures. No cat, lower temperatures.

Hood ducts make a big difference in under hood, coolant and oil temps. Even with a non catted header. I am running uncatted with a ceramic coated header and noticed about 10F difference in oil temp in a 20min track session.

I won't comment on any of the downsides of wrapping the headers as I have no experience with its potential effects, however I did notice that after wrapping my new catless headers, it does feel like the heat went down significantly within the engine bay. May or may not be placebo, but I feel it reduces heat even better than when I had my stock headers/heatshield.
