nitto nt05R is probably the best tire for hooking up that you can drive on the street and aren't completely F'd if it rains.
Also note with the NT05R or even the 555R they need a lot of heat to grip, when cold they are often worse than generic street tires. Once you've done everything possible to maximize grip, at a certain point you might not be able to overcome the physics and will need to turn her down. but a lot of things you can try and still do until that point. aero wont help much 1-3, but 4th+ a rear diffuser, side skirts, flat bottom, front lip can help reduce lift in turn adding more "weight" to the wheels. |

Neither of those tires will ever hook up at a reasonable speed for the OP. |

I understand there is more to finding the correct spring rate and it's not based off just your corner weight. Currently I'm running off the shelf stance coilovers, I believe they came with 8k springs front and rear. I have the ride height set as high as I can go and had the car corner balanced. I feel with being able to adjust compression and rebound separate with a softer spring will allow you to dial in weight transfer better than what Im working with now. I appreciate any advice as suspension is not my strong suit.

Mca traction mod will not help you with this issue. I have the Mca mod in mine and it is purely designed for mid corner grip by changing the suspension geometry. So look elsewhere for a solution to your traction issue.
Can you post up a dyno graph? I would hedge a bet that your power is almost vertical. Are you able to switch the rear turbo housing to a smaller one and then retune to make a lot more area under the curve, rather than a massive cliff where the car makes 400hp over 1000rpm?

Yeah I'm assuming the OP is in the same boat with his suspension setup. I would run stock struts but I need the clearence for the wheels and tires. To be honest I know I'm working with cheaper coilovers and planned on upgrading eventually. Are you asking how much stroke am I using or how much stroke it has overall? I havnt checked how much it uses under a launch but it can't be much. Correct me if I'm wrong but a softer spring will give me more stroke to a point?

As long as you don't bottom out, yes, a softer spring will get you more bump (squat) travel |

C6 forums tons of guys making 550-650whp hooking 2nd on the street with NT05R , they need heat before they hook is the problem too cold of day and or not warming up the tire first and they skating if you get on it.

Terrible comparison. To put it in perspective, 2nd gear on a C6Z is roughly equivalent to 4th gear on my Supra. |

So what you’re saying is OP’s 3.73 rear is too much gear and if he really wants traction he’d swap in a rear diff with more gearing options (like an 8.8) and take advantage of the any of these factory ratios: 2.26, 2.47, 2.73, 3.08, 3.27, or the multitude of aftermarket gears sets.

If you read you’d see I recommended NT05R. and mike said it was a bad tire. Not sure how you got me saying OP already had NT05R |
