My car is still OEM height up there on stilts (oh! the freshness!).
I can roll over speedbumps, reasonably large gravel and curb aprons without having to get out and calculate angles. I use the jack stands and a jack on the center points to change oil. It's easiest for me. Others may have some different restrictions.

I remember buying a pair of rhino ramps when they were on sale locally back when my car was stock ride height. Front bumper would def touch the ramp so i ended up returning them. Now after being lowered 18mm, i currently use raceramps rollup ramps to get me enough clearance for my jack to reach the center jacking points. I believe raceramps have an even lower profile ramp with their trak jax series for the purpose of getting clearance for jacks

My car isn't even that low, I couldn't imagine what the guys with slammed rides have to deal with.

So you don't want the free set of lowering springs I am planning on giving away?

LOL. My driveway is gravel and has a hump in it. I put the ramps just past that and baby goes on to the ramps with lots of clearance. Otherwise its pretty tight.

Also, I want to know about Torin double-locking 2-ton jack stand. Is it suitable for oil-changing cars? Because I was searching on google and getting more information about Pittsburgh 3 ton floor jack https://bestfloorjack.org/pittsburgh...r-jack-review/ is good, but I wanted to know real-life experience with it. Please let me know, is it steel good?

A recommendation is to put a tire under the car, which would protect you in case of any failure of the jacks (harbor freight, I am looking at you).
Do not cheap out on those, it is tempting specially because it is not used every day, but the risk is not worthy. |
