My wife is looking into buying iPad Pro for her school, instead of carrying around old brick Mac Pro. I checked to see if we trade-in my old iPad Pro (1st gen) how much get out of it. It said $175. +$800 changed into $175 in couple years. Tech world is harsher than automotive world. lol

I never trade-in electronics. For the pennies they give you back it's worth more to me to keep it. For example I kept my old Galaxy S6 as a wiFi-only "burner phone" that I wiped and put a fake gmail on for when my work decides we need to have certain apps on our phones that aren't provided by the company.

At least you can used it for work. I won't have any used to it... maybe in few years, my daughter might able to used my old iPad Pro. But 2yrs old having iPad Pro just to watch kids vid doesn't sound right lol

That is crazy, I would think you could sell it privately and get quite a bit more then that.

iirc the Chromebook I have is 1st gen? Either way, it's way overdue for new one. I can only hope to get newer Chromebook or some other laptop.

I thought about that. But if I gonna spend that much I can buy new Ipad w same chip. Plus they're announcing new gen Ipad next month.
