Swapping passenger and driver's seat cushion - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

Hi there team,

I recently have picked up a pair of Toyota 86 seats for my SW20 MR2.

The passenger seat is heated and the driver's isn't.

Is there a way to swap the cushions over?

Weird. I have heated seats on my GT86 .. and both of them are. (obviously heating starts to work only when occupancy sensors (that also are used for safety belt usage checks) detect someone sitting in seat). I wonder if it's really issue of one seat not being heated (maybe heating circuitry damaged? maybe mismatched set from different cars?), or rather something with electrical connections needed for that to work?
Myself after playing few times after buying car almost never used those heated seats though. After all, when it's cold weather, usually i'm wearing warm outer clothes, so don't need much of that heating. I'd rather have heated steering wheel instead, as even in cold weather prefer to drive w/o gloves, and initially in cold winter days it's slightly unpleasant, but unfortunately i got what i don't use instead.
