After some thinking I realised that after the new car smell fades away and the hype settles down as it becomes another car on the streets, you'll realise you could have bought a equal/better car for much less...Especially if you're coming from a better/equal car that's just older than the GT86...

In the end it's just a RWD coupe with 200hp... Coming to think of it, I'd rather buy the original AE86 for fun if I don't care for power...Or a Miata...A Supra maybe? MR2 Turbo ? MR-S ? Lotus Elise S1 ? Silvia S15 ?

If you do your math, no matter what hidden costs an older car may have, it probably won't be as much as the difference in purchasing price from a used to a spanking new car...

But I'd buy a new WRX STI

Plus you guys got all the muscle cars available for really cheap, I don't get why this car attracts you so much ?

I'll tell you why Muscle cars don't get my attention. Styling and layout. I like low-slung sleek sports coupes with a low to the ground feeling and sport seats. A MC is big, chunky, and high riding vehicle with a boxy look. All of those reasons make it simple for me.

You gotta admit that new '13 GT500 is hot.

Kinda thinking of moving on here too. I still have relatively low miles on my truck and im buying a house now. I might just wait it out for a couple years and see whats on the market then.... If gas prices aren't crazy by then I could always get a used Mustang GT and procharge it. With a track pack and some wilwood's it would actually be pretty damn fun till I blow it up and wish I had a Toyota... I JUST WANT a Fast car that handles decent. Why can't Toyota give me that.

He's not trolling, he's just being realistic. Buying a new car is a terrible financial decision, and by extension so is buying a brand new Zx6. If someone isn't as enamored with the concept of "driving experience >> outright speed" as a lot of us are, Vasilis for example, then they'd be much better off buying something else.

I like it the best out of the stangs. But I would be scared with 650hp on the roads.

That's completely 100% subjective. For some people this may be true, for others it could be completely false.

No, it's really not, provided that the used car you buy is warrantied.

Being warrantied has nothing to do with it. If you want to be the first and sole owner of a car (or any product for that matter) and the opportunity cost of that is worth it to you then it's a sound financial decision. Like I said it's completely subjective based on a persons financial situation and what they value in life. To argue otherwise is ridiculous.

Mustang or not, I'd take a Boss 302 (LS or not) over a BRZ/FRS any day of the week, if only I wanted to dump 40-50k on a car.

This car isn't about numbers, unlike your entire post

I respect the GT500 but I'd get a 302 LS over it also. That is much more my type of car
