Ecutek RaceRom Custom Features Manual
Maybe everyone has seen this, but I hadn't and couldn't find it anywhere else here so I thought I'd share with any fellow newbie nerds.

The description of flat foot shifting still confuses me.
"At the moment when the Flat Foot Shifting feature activates, a temporary rev limit is set that is slightly higher than the current RPM." Wouldn't you want a lower limit to drop the revs closer to matching the next gear while upshifting? |

I would think it's also at the tuner's discretion. At least that's how I understand it. |

So Tony if everything is like the op said, we should receive new maps with stable racerom and extras. Also did you have a chance to look at my logs to see if you could fine tune my tune? And congrats for the master tuner title.

Yes, your last set of logs were great. You guys north of the border helped me allot with cold climate adjustments before you all parked the cars for winter. Shoot me an email with your racerom map request and ill get the files ported over. Im heading to a trade show this weekend so i might not get to everyone before i leave.

Has anyone tried using launch control on a automatic? I didn't know it was even available for autos.

if the shifts were rev matched, you would loose the extra push. If a track requires a lot of shifting, your average speed would fall along with your lap times. At a place like the Ring in Germany you could loose many seconds every lap because of the amount of shifts the track requires so.... lets say with flat foot shifting you get a 4 second sprint from 40 to 70 (requires a shift from 2nd to 3rd) and without flat foot shifting it takes 4.1 seconds. At a place like the ring where there is like 147 turns (correct me if i'm wrong) you would be 14.7 seconds faster than if the ECU was designed to rev match ever shift. (this measurement is just an educated guess)
