FR-S 5zigen exhaust? Can anyone shed any light on if it's good?

Hey everyone,

Just currently looking at exhausts for my FR-S and I'm leaning toward the 5zigen. Can anyone that has had it/heard it tell me what their experience was with it? Good/bad? Thanks in advance.

interesting, didn't even know 5zigen made an exhaust for our car. I'd say its pretty un-popular. Haven't heard good or bad things about it.

Exhaust is VERY subjective, what sound are you trying to find/achieve?

The problem w/ 5Zigen (I worked for them over 10 years ago) is that they have no more presence in North America.

That's why you won't see much info about them, because every exhaust will be custom imported from Japan via a 3rd party and you won't have any support on them once you buy.

What attribute are you looking for that is unique to 5Zigen exhausts? I took a brief look and I don't see anything that can't be found in another exhaust that has better North America support...

Getting a good deal on custom exhaust and my buddy who's hooking me up recommended the 5zigen and said it would sound really nice, just wanted to know from other people how they liked it, primarily worried about drone.

There's plenty of other exhausts that have little to no drone.

Fujitsubo
Blitz VS/VSR
any of the axle-back exhausts w/ a full muffler canister

Going for something with as little drone as possible and somewhat subtle but also noticeable. Was originally looking at magnaflow but I heard it drones kinda bad.
