Good track pad options for stock calipers that will work with stock Michelin’s but also work with larger, 200tw tires.
Doing the first couple events with the car on stock suspension and wheels/tires, then throwing on the KWs and 18” wheels with 265 width tires and want to see what would be a good pad option. Looking at PMU CR, 999, and Carbotech XP10. Looking for inputs!

If price doesn't scare you, i'd look into CSG pads. I'm very happy with how they feel/work on stock brakes, if you can afford 'em.

Price doesn’t really bother me. I’m fine with paying for good quality components. The question is if they’re REALLY worth the premium over the other well established/known pads.

Well, they (C1) had best modulation from pads i tried (was much easier to brake right amount even with left foot, which is still not well trained and i'm just learning of) and they brake very similar across very wide temp range, from cold to when rotors were gloving red . They even weren't noisy for DD. They still dusted a lot & when used for DD they wore themselves & rotors quicker (main reason paired with high cost (almost half of BBK) why am now using them only for track, as it seems waste to wear good but expensive track pads for DD).

Hey guys
I have a 2016 BRZ in Germany and am wondering if I can either the 294x24mm or 277x24mm rotors up front? Or are they specific to certain models? Also what ceramic pads are good for aggressive street and Autobahn driving? Would the EBC redstuffs all around hold up? |

i was told something different on a German forum that brzs with no digital climate control were basic models with smaller rotors.

I have a 17 that has the PP. I upgraded the brakes pads to the Hawk ceramic. At that time was just looking for less dust and a little better pad. They worked great on the street and for the first 3 track days last year. On my 4th track day early this year before all this shutdown I noticed a couple of times I had hard brake pedal with poor breaking a couple of times at Cressent Motorsports Ranch. Yesterday finally got back out for a track day at Eagles canyon raceway. After the first session of learning the track I noticed that on turn 11 you are just getting past 100 and hard breaking I did not have good breaking power. Hard pedal no anti skid activating. I am guessing I need a pad with better stoping power? When I got the Hawks I was looking for lower dust but that probably is not an option now. Just looking for recommendations. Priorities as follows.
First is better stopping power. Second would be steetable. Third would be low dust. Fourth would be low noise. |

So I opted for CSG C2 brake pads for my car, front and rear; paired with PMU brake fluid.
Drove at a local event recently and got to test out the brakes. Car is stock aside from the pads/fluid, and an oil cooler. Stock suspension, stock wheels, stock tires etc. The track is Firebird/Wild Horse (West) CW. It's not a very fast course, and is pretty short, at just over 1mi in length. The longest straight is enough for me to get up to mid 4th gear, and the rest of the course is back and forth between 2nd and 3rd, so the braking zones aren't anything too crazy. As somebody who's majority of seat time in life is drifting, I've never had to be too crazy about brakes on a car. I learned a little bit over the few years I did HPDE events with the STI, but I felt like that car needed a really aggressive setup to have brakes that worked. I used PMU CR pads with that car along with Motul 660 and DBA rotors and I would still get fade after maybe 2 laps at the local tracks (But those tracks were also much quite a bit harder on brakes). But at the end of the day, I'm not very fast at all, and was really just wanting something that will work for me for a long time as I progress and start to get a little quicker. Bit the bullet on the CSG pads and PMU fluid for this car. First thing I noticed is the initial bite at the very top of the pedal. Quite a bit more sensitive than the CRs I used on the STI, so that took a little adjusting, mostly while driving on the street. On the track, the brakes felt pretty easy to modulate. They had strong initial bite, but I could feel them provide more force progressively as I got deeper into the pedal. I really just needed to build up the confidence to use them all the way. I'd say for about 75% of the event, I was only using maybe 70% of the pads. The final session, I started getting more brave and deeper into the pedal and found ABS a few times, but WOW I can see just how much was left on the table at that point. I was able to start braking much later at that point. This video is from my 2nd session, before I started getting more comfortable/confident with the brakes. Here are the pads and fluid after the event. Pads seem to look good. For comparison, these were the CR pads from my old STI after 2 track days lol In conclusion, I'm pretty happy so far with the CSG pads. They're definitely pricey at like $800 for the front and rear; but I like them better on this car than I did the CRs on my STI; and I'm perfectly happy spending the extra if they last a good while. I'm really excited to see how they are when paired with some good tires.

Try the CSG C2 on your PP calipers. It'll handle all the heat you can throw at it in an 86. |

Hello. I'm a new owner of 2013 Toyota 86. I'm planning to change my brake calipers to an OEM Subaru 06-07 WRX Brake Calipers. will these fit? Should I change my rotors?

I don`t think it was mentioned at all. 316mm x 30mm front rotors.
Legacy/Liberty GT 04-09 5x100 WRX 2015+ 5x114 Tribecca 5x114 The calipers bolt up and the rotors with 5x100 holes will fit also |
