Decel is just that, decel. You aren't under power and the injectors are flirting with their min on-time. So you will often see big trims which is why suggest ignoring it. It is only under moderate to full load (when car is open loop, ie, STFT goes to 0) that LTFT's mean anything useful.

sounds good. I'll play some more on my drive home (40 miles...much of it canyons)

Since I only got 11.2 gallons of e85 in there, at best my tank is e73 right now. At worst it's e60.

That makes sense. You're lower E content will account for some of the negative fuel trims you are seeing too.

Mad_sb/Shiv - does the ecu compensate (short term trims, closed loop) during easy driving when running the "wrong" map (I.e. when transitioning from one fuel to another)? I'm no expert, but I would think not since the AFR targets would be completely different right?

I watch the fuel trims so i know when to pull over and switch maps. Going from pump to E85 you can wait until the trims start going really negative. Depending on the mix, you may get a "system too [lean|rich]" code. The last time I switched i actually drove a way past where i would have normally pulled over and reflashed (because i was on the interstate). Fuel trims were able to keep it running fine, though i do not recommend driving around like that.

I was seeing around 31-32 mpg's a tank with 93. Currently I have about 100 miles on this tank of E85 and I'm sitting at 29.5 mpgs. Granted I don't drive like a retard on the streets, so depending on that your results might vary.

Ok my e85 fuel trims are looking great. Remember I have a stock header.

High load LTFT is 0. AFR is 12.5
Cruise LTFT between 1 and -1, AFR 14.5
Decel LTFT no longer all crazy...now -1.5, AFR 20
Idle LTFT -1.5, STFT .78, AFR 14.7...shouldn't that be richer?

All feels great.

Even our 700G tune is actually a 01G rom type since all are tunes are based on the latest factory ROM release. It was just named with "700G" in the name so that OpenFlash manager would allow it to be loaded (it doesn't allow changes of ROM IDs for safety's sake). In the case of the 700G and 01G ROM types, the share mostly the same mad locations with the exception of (but not limited to) VVT intake and exhaust base tables (which we don't even modify btw). So don't bother trying to view your original ROM with the XDF unless your original ROM is 01G type.
Cheers,
Shiv
Thanks for explaining. I flashed v1.34 and my engine is happy. Loving the soft rev limiter too!

went from 1.31 stg 2 to the 1.34. idk what the map scaling has done but that mid range pulls way harder all the way to red line and the car hasnt even fully learned throttle trims yet. great work

I have to say this is OFT was the best impulse buy I did yet -- thanks @shiv@vishnu for the constant support! More and more enhancements each time I come on this board.

Happy customer here. Wow. Huge grin on my face tonight. !!!

I ordered the OFT 2 days ago. It was delivered about an hour ago. After eating I downloaded the software, installed and patched win8.

I walked outside and Read the stock ecu map from the car. Came back in and and plugged the OFT into my machine. Opened the manager and it updated in a snap.

I pointed the Manager to my previously downloaded 1.34 Stage1 map and uploaded to the OFT.

Walked back outside and plugged the OFT in, followed the on-screen directions, and let it Write to the ecu. Total time was about 15min tops.

I started the car and let it idle for about 1.5 mins. Eased out onto the road and drove gently for about 10mins and let the temperature rise to normal.

By then I was out in the sticks/backroads. Long graceful curves for miles. I opened the throttle to full for several 3/4/5 gear pulls and I still can't get the grin off my face.

Sweet Mother - my little FRS pulls like a banshee now. Very nice rasp from 4K to 6.5k sweetening up to 7Kish gear shift with an excellent exhaust growl at the top.

I want to give you guys at Vishnu a round of well-earned applause .

Fantastic job!!!

The OFT tablet looks to easily be the best upgrade my lil Whiteout FRS has seen thus far. I am very happy with my purchase. Extremely happy.

Thanks guys!

I can confirm my numbers are similar. I wouldn't be concerned though tbh
