I managed to finish 3rd in X class. I guess new tires really helped!
It was definitely a great time! The most road-racey autocross I've done yet (only out of 3).

Great job taking third in your class.

I finished the morning in third, realized I was rolling a bit onto my sidewall so I went from my cold 32/30 setup to a warm 34/32. It went downhill from there until I got to my last run where I bled the rears out to 30psi. After finishing I checked my fronts and they were at 40 psi!

What's the census with nitrogen filled tires for autox?

Just check your tires more often (BMW makes it hard since you are pretty much hot lapping).

Looks like a fast and fun course. Looked like 3rd gear happened about 3 times. Had they decided on that course sooner I could have made the event.

Those new tires really made a big difference for you. Also, I felt like the odd man out with the only non white twin!

Don't forget this weekend there's an Equipe Rapide autocross school on Saturday. Then the Equipe Rapide mirrorcross autocross on Sunday. You get to do 2 courses that are mirror imaged with a drag race start.

Had a great time this Saturday at Lone Star BMW's event out in mesquite yesterday. Only 2 86s came out, me and Geran Rose. He took 5th place in class X and I took 5th in novice. We had a blast though.

ER on Sunday at Lonestar Park was fun. Brandon took the win and David was hot on his heels. Some late, phantom cones knocked me from 3rd to 4th in STX and out of the top 20 PAX.

Today out at MSR Cresson with Track Night in America was a blast, I managed a new personal best of 1:26.6 on the 1.7CCW during both the 2nd and 3rd sessions. The weather was great and most of the "advanced class" drivers did a good job with point-bys and passing (there were a couple of people who should have moved down to the "intermediate group" but they didn't cause too much trouble.

As Sam mentioned a few of us did that TNIA on 4/11/17. It was a blast, even tho my tires would not heat up. I thought I recorded my first 2 sessions but it appears I put the GoPro in picture mode. So it took at pic every few seconds. I did manage to record the 3rd properly. Video below was of my first spin on track which took me off track on big bend. I tried to be ballsy about big bend and try not to brake, just a small lift and hammer it.

*edit* Looking at my Lap timer I might have gone into Big Bend at 94mph.

I was out at MSR this past weekend for an Apex HPDE. Managed a 1:39.30 which is way slower than y'all. @14stu suggested I go out for a PDX so I'm trying to make it fit in my schedule for May 7
