Howdy from Dallas

Just got my Hot Lava Monogram Series and enjoy zipping around the corners and trying to give it a proper break in period.

SCION 2013

Hi, I got a used 2013 fr-s with 19" rims on it. Sometimes when I go to a curve it slips a little bit and the light of the car with the curvy lines behind begins to blink on the panel. Yesterday I was driving @65MPH and just wanted to change lanes and the car did it! It scared the crap out of me because I'm not used to this, felt like I was going to lose control at any moment. Is this normal?? I don't feel confident riding this car above 60MPH. Any suggestion?

You know about Heuberger Motors right? They are pretty much the go to for anything BRZ (if you are willing to have a car shipped to you)....

Sounds like traction control coming on. If this is your first rear wheel drive car you will want to take it easy taking turns, making lane changes, and driving on slick roads until you learn how the car behaves.

I would also check the tire pressures and tread depth on your tires to make sure everything is okay.

It does seem odd that this is happening at 60+ MPH. during a lane change.

Is it possible that the increased mass of the 19" wheel would be messing with the LSD, and causing the traction control to kick in?
Maybe I'm way off base in this thinking

Hi everyone!
Just joined, and looking forward to buying a Scion FR-S as soon as I can save the money. Considering I have been stalking this forum for the past month learning about the car, I figured I might as well join.

Hey Guys, brand new here. : ) Whiteout Scion FRS in the garage. Had it for about a month while skulking around the forum, and figured that it was high time I started participating in this great community. I'm no mechanic, but I'm really looking forward to customizing my baby to make her unique and perfect for me. See you guys (and gals) around!
