I have no clue what it is. In fact I have so little clue that I would be the worst help ever.

How big is an example file now?
Do you know why it's hard to compress most image files? I ask because it is possible to embed raster image data into an svg.

When I check the properties, they're in the mid to high 100s kb. Gran Turismo Sport has a 15kb limit.

I have no clue what embedding raster image data into an SVG means. =\

What I did was take the images, removed what I didn't want and saved as PNG file using Photoshop. Then I used Illustrator to save those as SVG files (1.1).

Ah, bingo. It's still raster image data wrapped in an svg "container"

Scalable Vector Graphics are collections of instructions in XML format. Words and numbers are easily compressed because of the high level of redundancy in files containing them.

Raster image data has very little redundancy. Basically, every pixel is recorded as a collection of values assigned to the brightness of individual color channels in a palette.

Vector graphics are like "orange line from here to there."

How are people making all of these decals on GT Sport? haha. Even a text logo I tried making turned out to be large in terms of file size (but that was still from an image).

Inkscape is a free editor you can use for vector graphics.
It's like MS Paint if it wasn't anything like that at all.
But that's what you use if you haven't sold your soul to Adobe.

You build stuff like a 3d model from corner points and curves then fill them with a color or pattern.

The usual approach is an auto trace, which converts to paths. These still may need cleanup, and the resulting svg still may have useless metadata which can be scrubbed. I believe there are online tools which will do the metadata bit. Illustrator should do trace pretty well. Inkscape may if the source is clean.

Yeah, that sounds like a lot of work, at least more than I'm willing to pour my time into. LOL. Oh well, guess I won't be contributing to the decals then. Haha

Actually, it's pretty easy. Think of it as a magic wand selection tool that converts the shape to a bunch of mathematical expressions to describe the line it creates.

TIL, or remembered, I shouldn't wash a fuzzy blanket with my other clothes. I have burned through 3 travel size lint rollers and will have to start resorting to tape.

Just run them through the dryer again with a damp towel instead of your wubby.
