I recommend against using self mobile attractive weights. They can be more trouble than they are worth. I definitely recommend against sharing anyone else's self mobile attractive weights, even once, as the side effects can be painful or expensive or both.

The right kind of such weight can also lead to distracted driving, a traffic offence in some jurisdictions.

Not a good idea, kitty litter will turn slick when cold...Trust me. Plus it says not to use as a traction aid right on the box!

Thanks for the tip. I will have to figure something else out then.

Ft86 club says:

Based on complicated science anology of information collected from 86 owners around the world.

1. Good for getting traction at dead stops.

2. Bad for cornering.

So if your constantly getting stuck, add weight. Other than that id avoid it.

Two strips of carpet about 2 ft long will get you out of most drifts, as long as you also have a shovel. There's a nifty looking folding shovel in Rona stores.

They also sell spiky traction mats. I have two small ones in my trunk. No shovel though.
