"The dull thuds of my bones caving was a suitable soundtrack to The Obelisk's tirade, 'You think your species is worthy of any form of freedom? Such backward rationalization-- your blithering ignorance, your self-assuring fantasies, your wretched human languages and these weak bodies-- everything distills unworthiness. You are unsuitable to be executives of yourselves. Human nature is more destructive to you than I ever aspired to be.' He threw me by my throat against a lone-standing brick wall which exploded as i slammed into it. I plopped to the searing ground as thick dust and sparks plumed around me. Coughing and blinded, I desperately blasted a rail of highly charged ions at him. They smashed divergently into his ever-present force-field. He retaliated, using brainwaves to pin me to the hot sand with immense pressure. 'Just look at your petty limitations, human. Listen to your thoughts telling you you'll find a way to win, never letting yourself give up-- that is a lucrative attitude in a slave.' I broke his hold on me, painfully knelt up on one knee and blasted a magnified photon beam at him. Again it deflected off of his defenses, 'I'll never be your slave! A martyr, maybe. A failure, possibly. But Goddammit I'll never gratify you!' A heavy gust of particulate wind knocked me back to the ground with an ear-splitting thunder and The Obelisk's answer to my rebellion, 'Then know this as the life subsides from your pathetic corpse; humanity is now my property because of you, human.''' - White Rook III: Exodus

To answer your question. I'm an investor and I just spend the last 2 days or 36+ hours landing an account that I just completed about an hour ago.

My gambling starts too. Gotta hit up my wiseguys up in Vegas for over/under, odds, and other numbers. It's gonna make games even more exciting this season, not to mention my 49ers are a viable team to make it to the Super Bowl. Lets get an NFL thread started.

:O Care to specify what "investor" is?

Being a math dude I'm considering doing quant analysis...they say the pay is completely nuts, hard to get in though obviously.

Investment Broker/Consultant. I got a recommendation from person who I met while working as part-time bartender. I helped him with a few "issues" and because I'm great at talking/listening to people he offered me a position as an intern. And I found my calling so to speak. And yes the pay is ridiculous but a persons gotta be able to talk to people because it's all about "sell, sell, sell".

I made more money in the last 2 days then most people make in a month. It's almost like my version of "The Pursuit of Happyness".

I see. Haha glad to hear you like your job.

For quantative/algorithmic traders, the word is "mid 6 figures" in 5 years, I imagine quantative analysts are paid at least as much, it kinda makes me drool. But then there's people telling you that finance is useless and does no good to society and whatever... I imagine people who work there get inured to it.

Hmmm I'm in a bit of a sticky situation with my "new" car, the smog certification just expired (who the fuck came up with the stupid 90 day rule?) so I have to get another one, but my 10 days after purchase runs out right after Labor Day, and the stupid DMV is closed on weekends. Does anyone know if I can have my mom go submit the title transfer, or do they need me to do it (I'm written down as the owner)? My plan is to smog it Friday afternoon and then right after it's done tell my mom to go to the DMV if that's possible...otherwise I'd have to drive my currently uninsured car maybe 10 miles to the nearest DMV, which makes me a little uneasy. I guess I drove it 10 miles the other day but that probably wasn't the best idea.

Random victory. Watching a show about cars and they had a plymouth with a wing taller than the roof of the car. I said "Look at the size of that wing," and my brother responded, in his jerk voice like he always does, "That's not a wing, it's a spoiler, douche." So I pointed at it and said, "No, those big tall ones like that are called wings."

Nothing special. But I liked it.

I'm going to be delaying my BRZ a bit longer. 89 Supra (facelifted one) coming soon.

I love those cars.

Also: Mk3 Supra 52/48% measured f/r weight split with driver. With a long iron block L6. Not a short aluminum block H4.

Edit: Turbo is 53/47 with driver.

You must be talking about one of these babies. You're causing me serious 70's flashbacks.
