I'll need to go back for wardrobe boxes and probably at least one or two large boxes. Might need to get crafty to fit those in. I know they'll fit inside with the back seats folded, but the question is how to get them through the opening.
When I transported a new screen door from the hardware store to my house (about 2 miles), I simple duct taped it to the top of the car and drove real slow.

Just after I entered the subdivision, there was this foxy mother pushing a stroller with a baby in it and had a toddler on her hip. I slowed down even more and said to her "looks like you need a double stroller". She smiled and replied "looks like you need a pickup truck".

Ahhh, yeah that would've been super nice. Appreciate the thought, though!

Haha that is definitely one way to do it!

I think there's a pickup line response in there, somewhere.

The granite bid wasn't too bad but I am running out of money so cheapest functional option it is. I actually like the butcher block, but I wouldn't want to live with it, it isn't going to be my house so it's not going to be my problem. If I was into a new place I would be buying the butcher block for a garage work bench.

I got the land Now I just have to wait for my tennant to finish buying his multifamily so I can sell my rental to have funds to build on it... (I could mortgage it but the market seems to favor selling right now)

Almost a shame. I spent my earliest years up til third grade, exploring woods with a stony spring-water creek and giant (at the time) rock cliffs. Tcoat has seen the place.

Yeah a big fire pit is going to be one of first priorities... I'm going to actually leave much of property the way it is naturally though. I'm fine with trees, slopes, streams, brooks and all that. Obviously some area around where the house is going will have to be cleared but my plans are more like a big Japanese style garden not some flat grassy area.
