It's a bitch to slide on there while under the car.

I used a torque solutions brand which is the same effect and ended up heating mine up in a pot of boiling water in a attempt to expand it a bit then greased it. Still put up a fight but eventually was able to get it on.

I did the front carrier bushing while I was under there as well. Adds a subtle NVH whine noise under certain conditions but shifts feel great. Noise was much worse with a short shifter before I uninstalled it. Having the carrier be more ridged makes shift engagement feel more solid. Doing the front + rear was more noticeable than just rear. I felt the rear bushing only on a friend's car before deciding what to do.

White line transmission insert also does a good job with slop but further adds some NVH. TRD/STi trans mount does a pretty good job doing essentially same thing with no added NVH.

Finally got the thing in. I used a heat gun and their lube. I couldn't get their bolts started so used a pair of these I had laying around. Much easier.

I suggested some kind of stamp on the bushing saying this end up and maybe an arrow pointing to the front of the car for orientation and additional instructions saying to lube and heat.

All in all, I fixed something that wasn't broke and I probably won't even feel the difference. LOL

I used Cusco bushings on the front part. They went in without too much trouble. My old bushings were in pretty good shape so overall I didn't feel much difference.
