Dat fender garnish...

(since everything else on the car seems like readily available bolt-ons through STi)

Is it possible that Subaru simply is not able to offer a more powerful version than its Toyota/Scion twin? Similar to the 1 BRZ sold for every 10 GT86s agreement?

To add to my post, a big sigh of relief that I do not own the *slow* version of the BRZ (if this sti version is non-turbo in fact) ;-)

I'm not sure, but that exhaust in the pictures looks different than the stock one, if that's the case, that means that STI messed with the exhaust which could possibly mean they messed with air intake too, and while in there, why not tune it right? haha....too much wishful thinking.
It's the STI axle back. It's already available as a performance accessory for the car. I have it on mine.

As far as this car goes, it's what I expected. Thank god for no FI; I think it ruins what the this car is all about. Instead, the focus is where it should, continuing to improve upon the balance and handling of the car. If you want more powaaa, they Hyundai dealer is around the corner =D. Definitely want the fender trim, dampers, and would like to see if the BBK would clear my STI 17" wheels (looks like the one on the car are 18s).

If the STI comes to the US, I would be shocked if it was all cosmetic. I think Subaru knows the US market will not stand for that. An STI is expected to be better in every way including some additional power. It has new suspension bits and what looks like a new exhaust. I would also expect a new intake similar to the TRD model offered by Toyota. Add all of that together with a slightly tweaked tune and I would think 215HP would be a reasonable expectation of the STI.

Now, I just have to wait and see if I am close.
Nope, if it came with 175 hp, I wouldn't even be interested. Don't lump people into blanket statements...there are always exceptions

The interior looks like they changed the seating material like Teo said to more Alcantara, along with the stitching. A bit odd they didn't go the whole nine yards to change all the colored stitching to that black/gray color, as only the steering wheel, ebrake handle, and shift boot are still red stitched.

Perforated seats with an extended lip? F@(#!!! I want those!

I don't know if I'd spend $50k on this, not that I could afford it, but I would at $35k!

Hate the gt wing...

If there's enough changes to make the $8,000 price jump worth it, then maybe I'd consider it.

Better suspension: springs, struts, bushing, control arms, sway bars etc.
Better wheels/tires/brakes: 18" wheels by Enkei/BBS with brembo brakes and slightly wider and stickier tires.
Better exterior: Sti lip kit, spoiler, badges, fender garnishes, etc
Better interior: Deep buckets with nice materials, push button and dual climate standard and sti badges.
Better power: Filter, tuned exhaust and slight head work with better tuning. Enough to get another 20whp from the factory.
Less weight: Replace various oem subaru parts with sti pieces that are lighter in weight.

That isn't asking much. 70% of what's listed is standard or available on the current brz limited. Not gonna pay an $8,000 premium for some badges, wheels, and exhaust tips....
