Mounted up my new Avid AV6s with Conti DWS06 in 245/40/17. I think they look just about right!

The Japanese are not real creative either then.

I have a Chief Steamer. The advantage to this one over the previous one I had is that this one uses tap water instead of distilled due to the heating element being on the outside of the boiler.

So I've had a code on this car (p0420) for the past week. I bought a used oem header (10k miles) to replace the cat.

Replaced the header, and the CEL went away as I started the car.

The previous owner double gasketed the header to overpipe connection.... not sure if that was causing the code (it's right after the downstream o2)..or if the cat was truly bad.

The header that was on there itself didn't have any of the heat shields on it, nor did it have original hardware. Stud seems to be re-welded on, and fastened on with random nuts...

I gotta say reinstalling a stock header was quite annoying because of the studs. I first dropped the front pipe, then disconnected the overpipe from the front pipe and that finally did it. I can see how people install aftermarket headers easier because of the lack of studs on them.

Ordered a resonated catless front pipe, and going back to stock catback.

Wild times when all I can find are basically knockoff brands of stuff that's now discontinued

Edit: that was discontinued as well. Just found out FT86MS is about to release a buildable front pipe. Going to be ordering a dual resonated setup as one of their first orders.

Got an alignment today. I was surprised at how little the front was affected after installing RCE Yellows with 2020 shocks. Everything was still in spec. Surprised at ow little camber the fronts have from the factory. It's sitting at 0.2 degrees. I tried to add camber bolts, but the wheel started hitting the strut... lol.

My rear end is all out of whack though, one side is in spec, and the other side had like .30 degrees of toe, along with -2.5 degrees of camber lol. Didn't think I'd need LCAs but I guess I'll have to buy them.

Also added a duckbill, full replica STI kit, and replica TRD garnishes which you can kinda see in the photos.

Not sure how I feel about the garnishes, to be honest.. I can't find any c7p subaru garnishes. I'd have to repaint a 2017+ garnish c7p to complete the exterior conversion to BRZ.

McPherson struts suck for camber. You effectively lose camber as the suspension goes through its compression stroke.

Lower offset wheels fix that issue, or you can go the route I did and add some ARP extended wheel studs with a slip on spacer.
The 2.5" can be installed on the rear without roving the hub(with minor trimming to the nipple at the end)

Does the duckbill affect rear visibility at all?

Heh, the rubbing picture was actually with a 3mm slip on too. Prior to the 3mm & camber bolt it was a paper thin gap.

I can see the duckbill in the rear view but doesn't really affect visibility any more than the third brake light does. I'm sure the TRD one doesn't affect it at all. This one is the legsport style one.
