Turn signals not working until car warms up in below freezing temps

Just bought a 2015 Scion FR-S, and low and behold the turn signals won't do anything when it's below freezing until the car has been running for about fifteen minutes. Emergency flashers won't work either. It does do about half a flash then stops completely. It does have aftermarket headlights and taillights.

Isn't everything computer controlled nowadays? Are you talking about a physical flasher, like the electro magnet kind? Either way, where would something like that be?

That's exactly WHY I leave my turn signals ON ...... so, they don't freeze up and not work when I need them.

This may help you find the relay.

IIRC GM cars used to have a "grandpa alarm" that would deactivate the turn signal after a few minutes of continuous flashing. I prefer people that just don't use turn signals, ways happy to accommodate them

The flasher module is a real mf-er to remove, and I have tiny hands like a geisha lol

Well, yes, but how would it know if you were planning on turning a few miles on down the road or ...... you had just left your turn signals on? -
