They may have pre bought a quantity at X price and finally had to rebuy. So the price of e85 could have been gradually going down for a while at other places. My cousin used to be purchasing for a fuel company. A lot of it is speculative, sometimes they gamble and get it wrong.

Yes, I'm sure the kid who manages the store decides the price

If there is a 69 or 420 worked in there somehow, then yes.

I was going to give my tenant a 90 day notice the beginning of the month so I could have them out by June. After talking with them I decided to hold off as they seemed to be trying to get out on their own. They text last night that they had an accepted offer on a house and if all goes well they will be out by April. I finally get my shop

Now I get to remodel another house though

Seems like I do about 1 a year. Heat pump going out really cut my budget though. Will have to wait at least a year to afford a lift.........er....... I mean cabinets and countertops. I know it needs windows, siding, and new flooring this year at least and I may redo the porch. I'd really like to add a carport off the front of the shop and extend the apron but I don't see that happening this year either.

Compressor, valve, fan motor are the only real moving parts. I killed the compressor on mine 12 years ago by failing to find the intermittent connection in the blower control system. They don't like it when the evaporator can't absorb any heat. Point is, the guy tried to upsell me on a whole new unit but I held my ground. Good thing because she's still running like a champ.

Put that money towards the carport fund. I'm thinking of one too.

The fins on the evaporator are all smashed from a couple decades of renters and condenser is corroded through. Just those two parts is almost half a new unit. Might as well spring for something newer and more efficient. When I opened it up you could tell it hadn't seen any love in a long time. I think the flame rollout switch is bad too but those are cheap. I replaced the blower motor last summer.

Not paying to install though, that is 80% of what they quoted me. I can't wait to carry it over the fence. It's like 580lbs.

Yeah I am excited. I have never had a house with AC before.

And to clarify, the unit I am dealing with is a packaged unit, so it is heat pump/furnace combo outside the house. Looks like something you would see on the roof of a commercial building.

never ends even if in one house. I just finished redoing a bathroom that we completely gutted 16 years ago. My "0h a new tub surround and floor should take an afternoon" turned into a 3 weekend marathon faster than I believed possible.

I think I'll just burn mine to the ground and collect the nails like @humfrz used to do.
