How much does it cost...

How much $$$ does it take before this car is/ feels fast? I have the perrin CAI,
JDL UEL catted headers, Motiv over pipe, invidia res front pipe, and FT86 Speedfactory V 1 exhaust. I guessing 2200-2500'already spent, and it sounds fantastic, and the performance does feel a bit better. I know a tune will help, but i don't think that will be enough. I'm thinking just dumping it and getting something else. Any thoughts? I don't want to go FI...

If you want the FRS to be "fast" you have 3 options 1) boost it, 2) swap the engine, 3) Switch cars.

E85 or flex fuel kit would provide a nice little bump in power, but if you're wanting something much faster in a straight than what you currently have, boost or buy another car are your options.

A little more research would have been helpful before you started spending money.

Catless headers and a tune are going to get pretty much all the power that is possible out of this car. Your other exhaust mods are just for sound.

If you tune for and run E85 that's pretty all there is.

After that, all you can do is make it lighter. $$$$ forged wheels, rip out the back seats, etc. Check the crazy weight reduction thread for ideas.

if all you're interested in is fast, sell your mods, turn it to stock, and trade it in for a base ecoboost mustang and get a bama or cobb tune. you'll have yourself a stoplight warrior. but don't expect it to feel nearly as planted, neutral or fun around any curves or windies.

I dumped the BRZ and picked up a new 2016 STI for $32,950. Should have went this route from the get go.

Anybody that buys these as a red light warrior and some pretty numbers on paper didn't do their due diligence before buying.
At least you did the right thing by getting what you wanted.

To answer this, first you have to quantify what is "fast" to you.

After all said and done, a stock $28k Accord V-6 will smoke you easily in a straight line.

To feel fast, drive on 195 width tires, make them all seasons. At highway speeds you'll feel real fast and unstable!

Well OP if you don't want to go F.I then dump it and get something else. This car is not going to get any faster without F.I lol. Maybe e85 tune might not be that much faster for you but is sufficient for me.
